Fresh produce — IR
Iran: fruits and vegetables
Dates, greenhouse vegetables, stone fruit and fresh herbs — under contract and to your specification.
Direction
Sourcing direction
Iran is a direction with a year-round calendar: greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers in the winter window, stone fruit and watermelons in summer, dates and fresh herbs throughout the year. The direction is under development: we arrange sourcing from producers and export packers and delivery to Russia under contract, while the possibility of shipment and the supply window are confirmed after checking, for the specific request.
The argument for this direction is the calendar. The winter window for greenhouse vegetables falls on the off-season of open-field production in Russia, and dates and fresh herbs run all year without a seasonal gap in the assortment matrix. The supplier is selected and vetted for the specific specification: company documents, production base, samples.
You choose the format: a seasonal programme with a calendar and a specification for the whole season, or a single shipment for a spot request. In both cases volume, schedule and price are fixed in the contract before shipment. The calculation takes into account the import tariff conditions in force on the date of the request.
Season
When the items of this direction are in season
The monthly windows come from the consolidated seasonality calendar: the direction table and the calendar are built from the same data. Availability, variety and the exact boundaries of the window are confirmed before quotation.

Supply terms
Batch, packaging, route
The parameters a buyer asks about first. Everything named here goes into the contract specification before shipment. The destination is your warehouse or the distribution centre (DC) of a retail chain.
Minimum batch
We work from a full truck or container. Exact volumes and the delivery schedule are fixed in the contract.
Packaging and labelling
Packaging type, net weight per box, palletising layout and the labelling artwork are agreed in the specification before the first shipment. Repacking and labelling to your acceptance standard are arranged at partner preparation facilities.
Route and transit time
The route is selected for the batch and the season: a road leg, shipment through Caspian ports, multimodal schemes. Transit time depends on the route, the mode of transport and the destination — we state it in the quotation together with the price and the delivery basis. The temperature mode is fixed in the carriage contract.
Settlements and documents
The settlement procedure for the Iranian direction is agreed individually and fixed in the contract. The set of accompanying documents is assembled for the item and the delivery basis; its composition is fixed in the contract before shipment.
Supply format
How supply is organised
Direct contract
We are ready to contract producers and export packers directly — for a specific request. Before every contract we check the supplier against the restrictions in force at Rosselkhoznadzor: an exporter closed for import means a truck stopped at the border, not a line in the news. Specification, calibre, packaging and the Incoterms delivery basis are fixed in the contract.
Quality control at loading
Inspection in the country of shipment is arranged before loading: ripeness, calibre, packaging and temperature mode are checked against the agreed specification, and the scope of control is fixed in the contract. The point of control is to catch discrepancies before the DC gates, not at them.
Cold chain to the point of acceptance
The cold chain to the DC of a chain or to the buyer's warehouse is arranged with engaged partner carriers; the temperature mode is fixed in the carriage contract.
Questions
Frequent questions
What should I send to get a quotation?
The item and variety, calibre and class, volume and delivery schedule, acceptance requirements and destination. That is enough for a first calculation — we will clarify the rest ourselves.
Why Iran rather than another origin?
For the calendar. If for your item the window of another direction is better on price or on timing, we will say so plainly and offer it.
What if the inspection finds deviations?
Inspection is arranged before loading, so that discrepancies are found in the country of shipment rather than at the DC gates. A batch that is not confirmed against the agreed specification does not go into shipment, and the procedure and the allocation of costs for such cases are agreed in the contract in advance.
Who is responsible for the goods in transit?
The parties' areas of responsibility are fixed in the contract through the Incoterms delivery basis, and the temperature mode in the carriage contract. Who carries the risk and from which moment is visible from the contract before shipment, not after an incident.
